“Senior Talks” presented by Las Vegas Church of the Nazarene as part of our Seniors’ Ministry, will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm inside the Worship Center.
The presentation will last one hour, followed by 30 minutes of questions from the audience members and answers from our speaker panel. Two expert speakers will present essential information for Aging Seniors and their families. This program is free to all attendees and there will be coffee and water available. We welcome all church members, church family, and friends of the community to this important event! We need to have 25 people or more signed up for this presentation, so, please stop by the table in the foyer of the Worship Center after the Worship Service this Sunday, 22 through Sunday, September 29 to sign up, or call the Church Office. Attorney Kim Boyer, noted Nevada Elder Care Specialist with more than two decades of experience in estate planning, focuses her practice on elder law, estate planning, probate and guardianship, has been named as a Super Lawyer for the Mountain States for elder law, and named Best Lawyers in America for elder law. Ms. Boyer is a noted and highly esteemed speaker in elder law issues and advance estate planning and has authored books examining Alzheimer’s and dementia legal issues on Nevada, and essential medical, legal, and financial eldercare issues. Her presentation will focus on the need for end of life and respite care advance planning, and some of the methods presented in her new and latest book, “My Last Gift: An Essential End of Life Planner: Important Guidance for You and Your Loves Ones.”
John Chase, a retired Deputy Chief from the Boulder Police Department, and his wife Elizabeth, own and operate AmeriSent Insurance, in Boulder City, Nevada, a full-service independent insurance agency. John has been an advisor for Medicare Supplements, Prescription Drug Plans, as well as Medicare Advantage Plans for 13 years. He is an in-demand speaker within the Senior Services community, explaining some critical changes to Medicare Supplements, Prescription Drug plans, and Medicare Advantage that will take place in 2025.
